Definition
What does falcade mean?
- Falcade(n.s.)
- A horse is said to make falcades, when he throws himself upon his haunches two or three times, as in very quick curvets, which is done in forming a stop, and half a stop; therefore a falcade is that action of the haunches and of the legs, which bend very low, when you make a stop and half a stop.
