"Solon" was the uncle of Plato who brought the story of Atlantis told in Plato's dialogues Timaeus and Critias from Egypt. The story was told to Solon as an oral history by an Egyptian priest. The story was already at the time of Plato 9,000 years old. Now it is 11,400 years old.
