The European Space Agency (ESA; French: Agence spatiale européenne pronunciation , Italian: Agenzia Spaziale Europea, Spanish: Agencia Espacial Europea ASE; German: Europäische Weltraumorganisation) is an intergovernmental organisation of 22 member states dedicated to the exploration of space.
