Definition
What does cacochymy mean?
- CACOCHYMY(n.s.)
- A depravation of the humours from a sound state, to what the physicians call by a general name of a cacochymy. Spots, and discolourations of the skin, are signs of weak fibres; for the lateral vessels, which lie out of the road of circulation, let gross humours pass, which could not, if the vessels had their due degree of stricture. John Arbuthnot on Aliments.
